How Does CoolSculpting Work? Before and After | Denver, Aurora, Castle Rock No matter how much you change your diet or switch up your workout routine, there are stubborn fatty areas of your body that just won't even out like you want them to. Our Denver medical spa offers CoolSculpting which works by freezing your fat cells and eliminating your problem areas.

CoolSculpting is an FDA-approved, non-invasive form of body contouring derived from Cryolipolysis®. This non-surgical procedure focuses on your chosen areas and freezes the fat under the skin's surface. CoolSculpting is a great alternative to liposuction and is more affordable than its plastic surgery counterpart.

The process begins when you schedule a consultation with one of our aestheticians in Denver to decide whether you are a candidate for CoolSculpting or not. This procedure works for a majority of people, but is not a solution for obesity.

During the procedure, the CoolSculpting device is placed firmly on your skin. A vacuum-like suction surrounded by two cooling panels begins to activate and directs a concentrated cold to the fatty area. You could feel some pinching or tugging as the applicator pulls at the tissue.

The area will feel numb after several minutes, but you may experience some stinging as it freezes away your fat. You could also feel some cramping or tingling which will go away with time. Surrounding areas will be left alone. You'll only experience these possible discomforts on the treated part of your body.

The final outcome of CoolSculpting takes anywhere from three weeks to two months to balance out. In this time, the dead fat cells are flushed from your body through your lymphatic system. The pockets containing the fat are now gone which prevents the area from developing fat again. This is what causes the long-lasting results of CoolSculpting.
