Don’t hide your skin’s natural tone, texture, and radiance behind fine lines, wrinkles, rough texture, large pores, acne, or pigmentation.

Even with the best skin care products, aging and the environment can take their toll on your skin. We are affected by free radicals everywhere we go. Reverse the damage and reveal brighter, softer, more even toned skin with a chemical peel treatment.

The purpose of the chemical peel treatment is to stimulate the epidermis and dermis of your skin to enhance the development of new cells. A chemical peel penetrates the outermost layer(s) of the skin, which stimulates new growth to improve skin tone and texture. Recent progress in medical science has produced tremendous results in facial rejuvenation with chemical peel treatments. Our clinic is proud to offer the best chemical peels available to our patients.

The Skin Cycle

Your skin may need a series of chemical peels for best results. It took many years for your skin to lose its vitality, so it will take time to regenerate new cells. As we age, skin cell turnover slows, and it begins to turnover every forty-five days. Depending on the problem we are treating, some peels are a single treatment while others work best in a series. Our aestheticians will discuss the best treatment plan for you.

A Chemical Peel Designed For You

Frequently Asked Questions

Often referred to as the lunchtime peel, because they are easy to apply and easy on your skin, and can be applied during the lunch hour. It’s one of our most popular and mild medical peel. Glycolic is an alphahydroxy acid that is the perfect solution for treating dry areas, aiding in the control of acne, improving sun damaged skin, and smoothing rough textured skin.

Like all chemical peels, the Glycolic Peel uses a chemical solution to smooth and improve the quality of your skin. It does this by eliciting the top layers of skin to separate and gradually peel off. The result is a natural glow and noticeably healthier looking skin.

The salicylic peel offered at Facial Aesthetics is an oil-soluble beta hydroxy acid that is great for treating skin discoloration, acne, sun damage and fine lines. The salicylic peel is helpful in killing the bacteria that causes acne as well as balancing out oil production. Salycilic peels are most commonly done in a series of treatments.

The VI Peel is a medical-grade chemical peel treatment that helps reveal a more youthful and refreshed appearance. It is highly effective at treating a variety of skin conditions, including: acne, uneven skin tone and texture, fine lines and wrinkles, acne scarring, age and sun spots, enlarged pores, melasma and hyperpigmentation.

The VI peel’s chemical solution removes the outer layers of skin so that newer, smoother layers begin to grow underneath. The treatment also helps stimulate collagen production and brightens the tone of your skin. As a result, your procedure will help you achieve a more youthful, revitalized appearance. The VI peel is effective for all skin types, and has delivered better results with darker skin tones than many other chemical peel treatments. It has also proven safe and effective in managing acne in teenagers.

Your VI Peel Procedure

The entire procedure can be completed in about 30 minutes. Our aestheticians will apply the VI Peel to your skin. You must leave it on for five hours before washing it off at home. In some cases, you may feel a light stinging sensation while the peel is being applied. However, this should subside shortly after.

In most cases, you should only need one treatment to achieve your desired outcome. However, some people require one or more follow-up procedures, performed every two weeks, to maximize the effectiveness of their treatment. To maintain the revitalizing results over a long period of time, you should return to our office for additional treatments three to four times a year.

Your skin may appear a bit red or brown following your procedure. You can generally resume all regular activities immediately following your treatment. However, it is best to avoid strenuous activities for the five hours the peel solution remains on your face. Also, you should avoid wearing makeup until you wash off the peel solution.

The peeling process should start about three days after your treatment, and it can last as long as one week. You may experience some skin sensitivity during this time, and it is best to stay out of the sun. Moisturizer can be used to cover up the appearance of skin peeling.

You should expect to see the results within a few days of your procedure. At this time, you should notice a significant improvement in the tone and texture of your skin, providing you with a more youthful glow.
